Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the doctor’s discretion and are normally for patients on long-term treatment. Requests for prescriptions can be made in writing only and can be ordered up to two weeks in advance.
To re-order you can use your order form supplied at the time of your last prescription, ticking off the items you require. If you have mislaid it you can obtain an order form from reception.
Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple registration.
We are unable to take orders or issue repeat prescriptions at weekends, public holidays or out of normal surgery hours.
St Mary's Island Surgery also offers a repeat dispensing service allowing patients on established repeat medications to collect their prescription items from a pharmacy of their choice. Please note that this service is conditional upon the individual patient attending for periodic medication reviews as advised by Dr Lawrence. Please enquire at reception for more details.
It is the hospital’s responsibility to provide the first month of any new medication. This allows time for Dr Lawrence to receive notification from the consultant relating to your new medication.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
